1. Our approach
NAX Academy is designed to be usable without an account. You can read the entire handbook and track progress without giving us any personal information. When you do share data (for example, to register for certification), we collect the minimum needed for that specific service.
2. What we store on your device
The following is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to us:
nax:progress:v1— the lessons you've marked complete and your last visited lesson.nax:lang— your chosen UI language (English / Malay / Chinese).- PWA / service-worker caches — cached copies of lesson HTML and static assets for offline reading.
You can clear all of this from your browser's site data, or use the “Reset progress” button in the handbook.
3. What we collect when you email us
When you email hello@nax.com.my or exam@nax.com.my, we receive your email address, name and any information you include. We use this to reply, provide certification and keep basic records for tax and accounting.
4. Payment data
Paid programs are processed by third-party payment providers (Stripe, Paddle, or a local bank transfer). We do not store your full card number. We only see the confirmation, amount, and the email you used to check out.
5. Analytics and cookies
We may use privacy-friendly analytics to count anonymous page views and understand which chapters are read most. We do not sell your data and do not use ad-targeting cookies. If a specific integration requires cookies, we will state it here.
6. Third-party services
- Lovable — hosting and deployment infrastructure.
- Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, TLS.
- Payment provider — Stripe / Paddle / bank, for paid enrolments.
- Email — Google Workspace / equivalent for support correspondence.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. Please review them if you use paid services.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@nax.com.my. We will respond within a reasonable time, typically 30 days.
8. Children
NAX Academy is intended for learners aged 13 and above. Younger learners may use it with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Data location and retention
Support emails and payment records are typically retained for up to 7 years to satisfy Malaysian tax and accounting requirements. Analytics data is retained in aggregate only.
